Login and Setup

  1. You first have to login. You can do so by going to www.airbaud.net and entering your full email address
(ex: example@airbaud.net) and password into the Web Mail login name and password boxes.
  2. You will then be redirected to AIRbaud web mail.
  3. When you first login, you will see the Options - Personal Information page. Enter at least your name and email address. Once this is completed, you may click the submit button on the bottom of the page. You will now be directed to your inbox when you login again.
  4. Now click on the word INBOX on the left hand side of the screen. This takes you to your inbox folder. Here you will find received messages.
Composing a message
  1. From the INBOX, you will want to click on the Compose link located at the top of the page. You will be redirected to a page where you can start to compose your message.
  2. Type in the recipients full email address in the To: field
  3. You can send a copy of the message to other persons by entering there email address into the CC: field. This stands for Carbon Copy.
  4. You can also send a copy of this email to others without the recipients in the To: or CC: field knowing about it. This is called a Blind Carbon Copy.
  5. Now enter a brief description that will show up as the subject of the email.
  6. You can also specify the priority of the email. This message will then show up as important to the user. (this depends on the recipients email client)
  7. Now fill in the email body with your message.
  8. If you would like to add an attachment, browse for the file using the Browse button. The maximum file size is 2 Mbytes.
  9. Once you are completed, you can then send the message off by clicking on the send button.
Setting up the Spam Filter
  1. From the Inbox screen, click on the Options link at the top of the page. Next, click on the Spam Filter link.
  2. The spam filter works by scoring each email that you receive. The scores are based on a number of tests that are ran to determine if the email is most likely spam. The default score is set to five. This means that if an email scores higher than a 5, the message will be moved to the spam folder which is visible on the left hand side of the screen below the inbox. The messages will not be automatically deleted.
  3. This could cause your third party email client to not receive some emails that may be considered spam. We recommend to leave this number at 5.
  4. If by any reason you notice that legitimate emails are being sent to the spam box, you can easily add the email address to the white list which means that any email messages coming from that particular address will not be marked spam.
  5. In order to add emails to the white list, type in the full email address in the Address: field under add new address.
  6. For the type, select white list from and hit the add new address button. There is a description of what other actions can be taken for a particular email address in the legend.
